In this video, I’ll show you how to create a simple yet gorgeous Christmas layout using Creative Memories Noteworthy Simple Page Kit 12 with a twist! Plus, you’ll see how to transform this layout into a completely different look using Creative Memories Magic of Christmas collection. These layouts are perfect for beginner and seasoned scrapbookers. The Noteworthy Simple Page Kit 12 comes with an instruction sheet, two base pages, a cut-apart page (which just means that it has the lines printed on the back to show where to cut), and a sticker sheet.
Before you use our Simple Page Kits, I suggest measuring the layout pieces and jotting those measurements down on the instruction sheet. You won’t need them to complete the Kit, but it is handy in the future if you want to duplicate the layout using different papers/stickers/themes.
Our Simple Page Kits are simple but they can be jazzed up easily by using a coordinating cardstock paper as photo mats or by adding a border along the edge of the cut-apart papers using the Border Maker System or 12-inch Stickers. You can even just cut a 1/2″x12″ strip of paper using any of our decorative blades with the 12-inch Trimmer.
You can cluster stickers and embellishments together and use foam squares to mount them, giving them a 3-D effect. I like using word stickers for my title and Write-On! Stickers for some of my journaling. You can also use tags as journaling boxes or mats from the Variety Mat Packs. The tag I used in this layout is from CM’s December Days Kit.
There are so many things you can do to make sure that your Page Kits don’t all look the same so that you can use the same basic layout for many pages. For example, adding a journaling box instead of a photo, adding PeekaBoo Pockets to add more photos, using embellishments and strips of paper instead of stickers, etc. So once you have these base pages down, you can play around and do a lot of fun twists.
