One of the most frequently asked questions I get is “How do I add Refill Pages to my album?”
I made a video (below) that you can refer to anytime you need to add pages or if you ever want to rearrange the pages in your album you can.
Take a look at the inside of your Creative Memories album. The front straps are very short. You don’t want to add pages to the front. Always add them from the back. You will see the straps are much longer in the back so they can accommodate more pages. I personally recommend putting no more than 45 pages per album (that is 90 sides). Some people really max out their albums and that can put stress on the bindings.
Refill Pages come in packs of 16 and include 16 Page Protectors. Refill Pages come in plain White, Spargo, Natural and Black. (To order click SHOP above).
SPEED TIP: Choose Fast2Fab Refill Pages. They’re pre-decorated and also include 16 Page Protectors. They come in a variety of themes and will save you a lot of time! Fast2Fab are the same price as plain Refills so it’s like getting the decorations for free!
When opening your Refill Pages remember to save the pack of Page Protectors. (Tip: Watch my Scrapbooking 101 video on How to Add Page Protectors to your Album.)
How to Add Refill Pages to your Creative Memories Album: (These Steps are demonstrated in the Video below!)
- Pull the Back Spine off
- Open the Back Cover and unlace the Straps
- Lift the Back Cover off and lift the Coverholder piece off.
- Line up the Staples on your Refill Pack and thread the Straps through the Staples.
- Add back the Coverholder piece – act like it’s a page too and thread the straps through the staple-shaped notch in the same direction you added the Pages. Put the Back Cover on threading the straps up through the holes on the cover.Tug to make it snug.
- Watch the video to see this more clearly but thread the strap through the first slot, then tug the straps perpendicular. Thread back through the second slots. Pull the straps taut so they lay flat against the back cover.
- Last step – add the Spine back on. Start on one end and slide it on.
Enjoy your beautiful album with all your pages able to lie flat. And now we have all your extra wonderful blank pages ready for your next story!
