In this video I’ll show you some tips for scrapbooking while you’re grieving.

Losing someone is never easy yet this can be a healing way to honor someone. You may have mixed feelings…being happy your loved one is no longer in pain but heart broken because you miss them so very much. It helps to type out your thoughts. You can print those words and adhere them directly onto your album pages or you can rewrite them in your own handwriting.

Include older photos along with current ones. Especially if they were sick for awhile, it is good to remember them before they were sick or on hospice. A photo of you holding your loved ones hand at their passing can also be a powerful way to honor your special relationship.

I received several text messages the night of my mom’s passing from various friends telling me how moved they were by the sky that evening and how they thought of my mom. I also experienced some other signs that were special just to me such as hearing a certain song on the radio each time I started my car the day before and the day she passed (4 times in a row)! Include these messages and signs on your scrapbook page as this will bring comfort in the future.

Adding Page Protectors to your finished pages will protect them for generations. I also included some quotes that spoke to me – these were from the variety mat pack. It’s not easy to make these pages but it’s important to do this while the memories and feelings are fresh. I hope this helps you as you journal and document a tribute to your loved one.
