In this video I’ll show you a quick way to organize your collection of scrapbook paper, stickers, mat packs and embellishments!
Supplies:
- Creative Memories Power Project Folders
- Creative Memories Storage Tote
- Creative Memories Collections: Coordinating Paper Packs, Sticker Packs, Mat Packs, and Embellishments
In this video I’m using Creative Memories Winter Woods Collection as an example. Using a Power Project Folder you can keep the entire collection together and have everything at your fingertips!
Middle 12×12 Pocket:
- 12×12 Paper Pack…you can keep your paper in the original ziplock packaging and store in the middle pocket or take your paper out of the packaging and insert directly into the middle pocket. Some CM Collections come with multiple paper packs. Don’t worry this pocket is roomy and will hold multiple packs of paper. You can easily view and access the paper you want without having to take the whole pack out every time.
Front Pockets:
- Variety Mat Packs include 5×7 and 4×6 mats for photo mounting and journaling boxes. Put these mats in the front left or right pocket.
- Embellishments Packs come in a ziplock pouch. I recommend saving them in this pouch and putting the whole thing into the front left or right pocket. That way you can easily access them without having to dig them out of the pocket.
- Put your 12-inch Laser-cut Borders or 12-inch Border Stickers in the top horizontal pocket. The Winter Woods Collection includes a gorgeous pack of 12-inch laser cut borders. This is a perfect pocket for these delicate strips. This is also the pocket that I usually put my Border Stickers in.
Back Pockets:
- Creative Memories Sticker Packs come with three large sticker sheets – usually you’ll get a strip of title and sayings; one of icons; and one of 12-inch borders. Turn the Project Folder over and put your sticker strips in the back two long pockets. They also fit in the front horizontal long pocket.
Now you have your whole Collection together so when you’re working on winter pages, for example, you can access everything you need. The Power Project Folders come with labels and I usually label the folder with the name of the Collection or the season or project I’ll be using it for. In this example I labeled it WINTER.
Suggested Labels/Themes:
- Winter
- Birthdays/Celebrations
- Spring
- Wedding
- Baby
- Summer
- Travel
- School
- Fall
- Christmas
- You can also label your folder(s) with the name of the CM Collection. For example I have: Winter Woods, Natural Disposition, Boho Escape….etc.
Storage:
Now put all your Project Folders into a Creative Memories Storage Tote. This Tote will also fit albums and tools but I recommend using one Tote just for your Project Folders. That way you will have all your themed Collections of paper, stickers and embellishments in one place. When you’re going to a workshop or doing your album at home, just pull out the Project Folder(s) you’re going to use.
The inside of the Tote is light blue so you can see and find things faster. It zips shut and there are handles on each side plus a trolley sleeve on the back so it will fit onto a rolling bag. Also the Tote comes with a removable divider so if you want to split your Tote into two compartments, you can.
