You may remember when I shared that our family has been going to the same summer vacation spot almost every year since our kids were little. I was able to get 7 years of trips into one album. You can find the video flip-through and blog post on Volume I here: Vacation Scrapbook Flip-through. Now I am doing Volume II and using a similar format. I love to see the progression of time by doing themed albums. How about you? Do you have a favorite cabin or camping spot you like to visit each year? Maybe you like to go to Disneyland every year or Las Vegas? You can easily print those photos (wait. what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, right?! ok, forget the Vegas trips lol but for your other favorite vacation spots…) and put them into a small 8×8 album or a 12×12 album.

Our family has been taking trips to Black Butte Ranch almost every summer since our 4 kids were little. I was able to put 7 years of these trips into one Volume I. At the bottom of this post is a flip-through video of Volume II. You wilI love how having all of your trips in one album shows the progression of time – our kids were so little when we first started going and maybe someday they will bring their own children to Black Butte. I love having all of our Black Butte memories in two albums.

If you have more than one album of the same event, I recommend having your album spines imprinted. Creative Memories does a fantastic job on personalization and you can play around with different fonts and formats online before you purchase.

For Volume II, I used Creative Memories a chocolate brown bookcloth album cover (Deep in the Woods design foiled cover) along with Fast2Fab Refill Pages (Our Moments collection). See supply list below. Because Creative Memories Fast2Fab Refill Pages are predesigned, all I had to do was add my photos and journaling. I did add a few stickers for fun but that’s totally optional. I also used a pack of brown ABC/123 Stickers to add the number of our trip and the years.

I love interspersing Multi-Pocket Pages into my albums. This is another trick that speeds up memory keeping and I just love the look and feel of Pocket Pages. You can use mats from the Variety Mat Packs to fill any empty pocket or to use for journaling your story. You can also write directly on the album page.

Don’t worry if you can’t find the exact set of pages that I’m using in this video as Creative Memories is always coming out with new Fast2Fab designs for all seasons and occasions. You can also get Variety Mat Packs (and Stickers, Paper and Embellishments) that match the Fast2Fab theme. That way if you use Pocket Pages, the mats coordinate nicely! If you would like to see more tips on how to use Pocket Pages, check out this video: August Page Layouts and Tips to Speed up your Scrapbooking using Multi-Pocket Pages.

Scrapbook albums make the best gifts!

Theme albums make great gifts!! I was able to get seven years of memorable trips into Volume I and it was one of the best Christmas presents I’ve given – my hubby is not easy to shop for so this was a win! I included inside jokes and fun memories that will help us relive these trips over and over. Now I’m starting Volume 2 and you can bet he will be getting this as a Christmas present in the near future. Check out the video below to see the flip-through of my progress so far on Volume II!
