Ready for some more fast pages? For this video, I printed my favorite photos from February and put them into an album. You will see my whole process from layout to journaling to adding some embellishments. These pages are a little more decorative than the pages I made in January (see January pages here). My style is simple and fast but also fun and meaningful. If you are looking for a way to speed up your memory keeping process so you can make progress on your photo albums/scrapbooks, then I hope you will be inspired and get some ideas from this video. This video includes 3 double-page spreads for a total of 6 pages in my album! February is almost done! I say almost because my mom passed away at the end of February and I’m taking some personal time to create those heart-breaking pages. I will probably share them in a future post about scrapbooking while grieving…
I hope you enjoy this video and the Fast2Fab ideas. Paper Packs are available in the Winter Woods theme so if you prefer using plain Refill Pages, you could adapt these ideas by cutting your own 12×12 paper backgrounds.

February Speed Tips:
- Fast2Fab Refill Pages – come with pages that are pre-designed. This saves you tons of time and it’s like getting the paper for free! Fast2Fab Refills and Albums come in a variety of themes. To shop, visit the SHOP CM tab on the menu above.
- DIY Journaling Strips – To make journaling strips, use the Personal Trimmer and what I use is the leftover white cardstock that comes with our Multi-pocket Pages. However, any cardstock will do. I just happen to have a bunch of these 4×6 inserts (they are photo-safe and high quality cardstock so when you buy Pocket Pages it’s like getting a whole bunch of cardstock for free). I trim the cardstock into strips using my Personal Trimmer. I write on the strips with a Dual-tip Pen. Sometimes I write first and then cut the strips – it really depends on how much journaling I have to do and if I can eye the size before I write. Then I use scissors to make two cuts on one end to look like a little flag cut.
- Custom Cutting System – lets you create shapes from your photos and you can just switch which color blade you use to get a perfect size mat in the same shape. The blades fit onto the patterns like a train on a track. You can use the inside edge or outside edge of the patterns which give you lots of various sizes. There are three blades Red, Green and Blue….each blade is offset from the pattern in a graduated distance so by switching out the blades you can get larger or smaller patterns based on which blade you use. This is why it’s so easy to create mats without tracing and cutting with scissors. The Custom Cutting System is definitely a speed tool!
- Border Maker System – In this video I used the Border Maker System. Again another speed tool for making super cute borders fast! In February we had an ice storm and we had the most beautiful icicles hanging from our house. I thought it would be fun to add an icicle border along the tops of my pages using Creative Memories Border Maker System and the icicle cartridge. For directions on how to use the Border Maker System, check out this YouTube Video: How to Use Creative Memories Border Maker System.
Follow me on Instagram for Motivation Mondays where I post a weekly challenge. If you would like this extra encouragement, you can join in anytime. Each month I print out my photos from the prior month and will be showing you my monthly layouts. Some will be simple, some will be fun, a few may be fancy…but they all will be meaningful. Come along! @adashofStory
