How I made page layouts for ages 1-5 in my son’s Birthday Scrapbook Album!

Here is a fun way to celebrate your child or grandchild each year and quickly see the progression of time as your loved one grows up! In this video I’ll show you step-by-step how I created the pages for ages 1-5 in my son’s birthday album.

For the foundation of the pages I used 12×12 paper from Creative Memories Party Time! Collection. I trimmed the paper into 8×8 inch pieces to completely “wallpaper” the scrapbook page. The leftover pieces I cut into 2×8 inch strips to use as borders on the outer edge of the layouts.

What to Include in a Birthday Page Layout:

A Picture of the Birthday Child
A Picture of the Cake
If you had a party, include a Group Photo
Write down the year somewhere on the page
Use Number Stickers to label each page with their Age that way you can quickly see their age as you flip through the album
Fun facts: where the Birthday Party was held, names of who attended the party
Words of encouragement: positive character traits or physical traits you see in your child (i.e., you are an active 4-year-old, you have a smile for everyone)

Tips:

You can leave the pages plain and just add a couple of Photos and Journaling each year. That will be a 5-minute page and AWESOME job! You will get all the benefits of seeing the progression of time and celebrating your child.
