Any time is a good time for sending a valentine, wouldn’t you agree? We don’t need a holiday to do that. In the video below I’ll share a few card ideas using a Sweetheart Theme Kit from Creative Memories. You can adapt this card recipe for any supplies you have on hand or you can get the exact supplies via the SHOP CM link in the menu above.

Creative Memories Supplies:

  • Blank Card Kit (includes 12 blank cards & envelopes)
  • Sweetheart Theme Pack (includes 2 sticker sheets, 4 double-sided designer papers and 1 solid cardstock)
  • 12-inch Trimmer with Straight and Victorian Blades
  • Repositionable Tape Runner
  • Foam Squares
  • Optional: Scissors, Multi-purpose Tool

Cut:

  • Using Designer Paper and 12-inch Trimmer with Straight Blade cut 3 card bases measuring 5.5″ x 4.25″ each
  • Take out the Straight Blade and replace with Victorian Blade. The 12-inch Trimmer has many blade options. I recommend for Valentines using the Victorian, Scallop or Deckle Blades.
  • Using Card Stock and 12-inch Trimmer with Victorian Blade cut 3 strips 1.5″ wide
  • Using 12-inch Trimmer with Straight Blade cut two strips 5.5″ long; cut one strip 4.25″ long

Assemble:

  • Using Repositionable Tape Runner adhere the base and strip to the front of the card (2 of the cards will be horizontal, 1 will be vertical)
  • Add a 12-inch Border Sticker across the strip and cut off any excess. Save the excess on your Sticker Sheet.
  • Using Foam Squares add a large Sticker and cluster a group of 3 Stickers near the title
  • Sign or initial the back of your cards
  • You have plenty of supplies to make 9 additional cards. To conserve paper, use strips of designer paper instead of backgrounds.
  • Use the Card Kit storage box (included) to store your cards until you are ready to send some happy mail!

When doing 12 cards at a time, just increase the amount of pieces you cut so you can put them together assembly line style.
