Have you ever wanted to make your own envelopes? This is a great way to use your stash of scrapbook paper! In this video I’ll show you how to make an envelope using an 8×8 piece of double-sided scrapbook paper. Below the video you will see the supplies used and step-by-step written instructions. I just love how the double-sided paper looks on an envelope. These will send through the mail no problem and give an extra handmade element to your cardmaking. Here is the video tutorial:
Creative Memories Supplies used:
- Corner Rounder
- 12-inch Trimmer with Straight Blade and Scoring Blade
- 8×8 Double-sided Designer Paper
- Multi-purpose Tool
- Tape Runner

Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Line up a piece of 8×8 paper on your trimmer’s 45-degree mark.
- Using the Scoring Blade, Score at 3.5 inches.
- Turn your paper 90-degrees and Score at 2.75″ again lining it up with the 45-degree angle mark.
- Turn your paper 90-degrees and Score at 3.5″ lining it up with the 45-degree angle mark.
- Turn your paper 90-degrees and Score at 2.75″ again lining it up with the 45-degree angle mark.
- Fold in the 2 small sides. Smooth folds with Multi-purpose Tool.
- Using the Straight Blade, cut 1″ off the bottom flap.
- Fold bottom up. Adhere with just a little bit of adhesive along the bottom side edges.
- Use the Corner Rounder to round the corner of the top flap.
- Fold the top flap down and smooth with Multi-purpose Tool.
